The National Conference on Addiction Disorders (NCAD) is accepting presentation proposals for the 2018 conference. NCAD provides the most extensive educational experience for professionals working in addiction prevention, treatment, aftercare, and management, with dedicated topics for clinicians, executives, and marketers.
 
NCAD’s attendees are grouped into three categories:
 
  • Clinical professionals who deliver prevention, intervention, treatment, and recovery-focused services to prevent or treat addictions and co-occurring disorders
  • The executive leadership of treatment organizations, including residential treatment centers, community mental health centers, inpatient hospitals, intensive outpatient and other outpatient settings, as well as investors in the market working with these organizations
  • Business development, marketing, and admissions professionals focused in the addiction/behavioral healthcare field.
 
Conference Focus
Knowledge that builds and sustains clinical excellence in treatment of addictions and co-occurring mental health disorders, as well as strategies and tools that drive organizational and service delivery excellence.

PRESENTATION FORMAT:
Educational Sessions, August 19-22 (90-minutes including Question and Answer period)
 
TRAVEL:
The presenter(s) will be responsible for all travel (air, transportation and hotel), a discounted hotel rate through the conference will be available to the presenters and he/she will waive any honorariums, please keep this in mind for budgeting purposes.
 
COMPENSATION/REGISTRATION:
Up to two (2) presenters per session will receive complimentary full conference registrations to the conference.  We do not offer any honorariums for presenters.  Presenters will be offered the discounted conference hotel rate.
 
SELECTION/SUBMISSION OF ACCEPTANCE:
  • The Conference Committee will accept presenter applications based on the following criteria:
  • Clear learning objectives
  • Supporting evidence–based data from research or demonstrated results
  • Intent to provide details on how to implement a successful program
  • Special consideration will be given to presentations that demonstrate the use of video, audio, or other engaging graphics to supplement the material presented
  • Submissions that appear overly commercial or promote a product or service will not be considered.
 
NOTIFICATION OF ACCEPTANCE:
How will I know if I have been selected to present?
 
The Program Committee will contact chosen presenters by e-mail by January 12, 2018. It is expressly understood that the presentation submitted may be scheduled at any time and on any of the conference dates at the discretion of the conference program committee. 
 
For those not chosen a notification will be sent by email on or before February 9, 2018.
