Sriram Bharadwaj (Sri) is Director, Information Systems, University of California, Irvine, Healthcare (UCI Health) and has over 25 years of Information Management Systems experience in multiple industries including healthcare. Sri has held many leadership positions in health plans and prior to his current work at UCI Sri consulted with Integrated Delivery Network (IDNs) around ACO, HIE and Clinical integration. Sri has expertise in Applications Development, Enterprise-wide IT Infrastructure and Operations. Sri is well known for his process knowledge delivering performance improvements in multiple industries during his long tenure with Deloitte in various parts of the Americas, Asia Pacific and EMEA region. Sri also has expertise building products for customers through his earlier involvement with SAP AG (an ERP vendor).
 
Sri is a CPHIMS, PMP, CISSP, Chartered Global Management Accountant (FCGMA)(U.K), Professional, Academy of Healthcare Management (PAHM), and a Six Sigma Black Belt (ASQ). Sri is past committee member for the CIO Healthcare Summits and has delivered many presentations on Healthcare regulations and compliance at various conferences. Sri currently serves as Chair, Privacy and Security Committee, National HIMSS. Sri has been on the Southern California HIMSS Board for many years and also is involved with the HIMSS Interoperability and Standards Workgroup, Patient Engagement Workgroup providing thought leadership and opinion on various matters around patient engagement, interoperability, healthcare legislation, privacy and security.

Kristin Darby is a globally-recognized technology executive with more than 20 years’ experience in healthcare, finance, academia and insurance. She has served as a technology leader at leading national organizations where she has developed broad experience in strategy, business development and M&A. She is an inventor and a US and EU patent holder for a patient safety and education system that is used at over 300 outpatient dialysis clinics.
 
Since 2014, Kristin Darby has served as Chief Information Officer of Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA). CTCA is a primarily direct to consumer network of adult treatment facilities that includes hospitals in Chicago, Philadelphia, Tulsa, Phoenix, and Atlanta.  Darby is the principal strategist and architect for the organization’s Information Services and Informatics program where she is leading innovative information technology initiatives to transform the organization’s capabilities around precision medicine and value-based care.
 
From  2012 to 2014, Ms. Darby served as Chief Information Officer for Vanguard Health System (formerly NYSE: VHS) Northeast/North Midwest Business Division. Her role included leading the Information Technology and Informatics strategy and operations for the 11 hospitals, 55 outpatient centers, 80+ physician offices, 3 ACOs and 2 insurance products in that market. In 2013, Vanguard Health Systems was acquired by Tenet Healthcare Corporation (NYSE:THC). 
 
From 2009 to 2012, Ms. Darby served as Chief Information Officer for Risk Management Foundation of the Harvard Medical Institutions (CRICO). The organization is the patient safety and captive medical malpractice company owned by the Harvard Medical Institutions.  Ms. Darby led the re-design and development of a comparative database of malpractice claims that was wrapped by a proprietary analytics platform to enable advanced analysis and insight generation of malpractice risk and predictive opportunities for patient safety advancements and mitigating clinical risk. The proprietary claims, underwriting and analytic software was sold commercially to expand the data set and user base to non-Harvard academic medical centers and community health systems across the United States.
 
Earlier in her career, Ms. Darby spent 12 years at Fresenius Medical Care (NYSE: FMS), a large international dialysis products and medical services company, as an accountant and internal auditor before transitioning into the field of Information Technology where she led a national team responsible for the technology functions at over 2,000 outpatient medical facilities and 300 managed services acute locations. She also has accounting experience with a CPA firm focused on physician office management and financial services.
 
Ms. Darby holds a Bachelor’s Degree with dual majors in Accounting and Management Information Systems at University of South Florida and an MBA from Henley Business School in Oxfordshire, England.  Darby is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Fraud Examiner and Certified Healthcare CIO.  She is serving on the Board of Directors and as Treasurer and Chair of the Audit Committee of Addgene, Board of Directors of Great Hearts Trivium Archway and is a member of the Strategic Advisory Committee for International Capital Management Company. She also serves on the Infor Healthcare Innovation Board, Salesforce (NYSE:CRM) Healthcare Advisory Board and Salesforce CIO Advisory Board. Ms. Darby is a Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow and active philanthropist.

Kevin Fu, PhD

Kevin Fu, PhD, is widely credited for his continuous efforts to establish the field of medical device security. He is most known for a decade of research to improve the security of pacemakers, defibrillators, and medical device security in general. He directs the Archimedes Center for Medical Device Security at the University of Michigan. The National Academy of Medicine commissioned his report on trustworthy medical device software. He served as co-chair of the AAMI Working Group on Medical Device Security that created the first technical report recognized by FDA to satisfy federal cybersecurity expectations for device manufacturing. Dr. Fu has testified in the U.S. House and Senate on matters of cybersecurity and healthcare. He trained federal investigators at the HHS Office of the Inspector General on matters pertaining to medical device security audits for compliance. Dr. Fu received his Ph.D. from MIT.  He was named MIT Technology Review TR35 Innovator of the Year. The BlueFlow software from Virta Labs solves problems of cybersecurity risk management for difficult to measure medical device inventory on safety critical networks in healthcare delivery organizations.

Dr. Garber is a practicing Internist and the Medical Director for Informatics at Reliant Medical Group (formerly known as Fallon Clinic), a 525-provider multispecialty group practice. He is a board-certified Clinical Informaticist and has had decades of experience and success in health information technology.
Dr. Garber is Chair of the Massachusetts eHealth Collaborative’s Executive Committee, a member of the Massachusetts State Health Information Technology Council, and has been a member of ONC Policy Committee’s Health Information Technology Interoperability Workgroup, Privacy & Security Tiger Team, Jason Task Force, and Interoperability Experience Task Force.  
 
He has been Principal Investigator on $4 Million AHRQ, HHS/ONC and MeHI grants to develop innovative Health Information Exchanges, and a participant in the Trillium Bridge Project to study exchanging standard documents between Europe and the US. Dr. Garber also co-chaired the ONC S&I Framework Longitudinal Coordination of Care Workgroup which used an evidence-based approach to update the HL7 Consolidated CDA to better meet the needs of care transitions and care planning.

Before founding Datica, Travis explored a diverse background, starting with business and technology. After securing his MBA and MS, he analyzed security systems with PriceWaterhouseCoopers and Booz Allen Hamilton. Eventually Travis crossed into the clinical world, becoming an MD in 2011.
In 2015, Travis participated in a panel at SXSW discussing HIPAA, compliance, and innovation. In 2013, Travis participated in a panel discussion at the annual mHealth Summit with former U.S. Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle (D-SD). The panel focused on government compliance. He has spent a quarter century in the health care publishing field, as a writer, editor, public speaker, and author. He has won numerous national and regional journalism awards, and is the author of two books on healthcare quality and efficiency: Paradox and Imperatives in Health Care (2008, with Jeffrey C. Bauer, Ph.D.) and Transformative Quality: The Emerging Revolution in Health Care Performance (2009). Halamka, MD, MS is Chief Information Officer of the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Chief Information Officer and Dean for Technology at Harvard Medical School, Chairman of the New England Health Electronic Data Interchange Network (NEHEN), CEO of MA-SHARE (the Regional Health Information Organization), Chair of the US Healthcare Information Technology Standards Panel (HITSP), and a practicing Emergency Physician.
 
Dr. Halamka completed his undergraduate studies at Stanford University where he received a degree in Medical Microbiology and a degree in Public Policy with a focus on technology issues. While at Stanford he served as research assistant to Dr. Edward Teller, Dr. Milton Friedman, and presidential candidate John B. Anderson. He authored three books on technology related issues and formed a software development firm, Ibis Research Labs, Inc. Additionally, he served as a columnist for Infoworld, technical editor of Computer Language Magazine and technology consultant to several startup companies.
 
In 1984, Dr. Halamka entered medical school at the University of California San Francisco and simultaneously pursued graduate work in Bioengineering at the University of California, Berkeley, focusing on technology issues in medicine. During medical school and graduate training, he continued his business activities and developed Ibis Research Labs into a 25 person software consultancy, specializing in medical and financial information interchange. Ibis was sold to senior management in 1992.
 
Dr. Halamka served his residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in the Department of Emergency Medicine. While at Harbor-UCLA he was an active member of the information systems team and developed a hospital-wide knowledge base for policies, procedures, and protocols. Further, he was instrumental in creating an online medical record, a quality control system, and several systems for medical education. His research focus during residency was building automated triage tools for patients infected with HIV.

Daniel Nigrin, MD, MS

Daniel J. Nigrin, MD, MS, is the senior vice president for information services and chief information officer at Boston Children's Hospital, assistant professor of pediatrics at Harvard Medical School, a senior staff member of the Children's Hospital Informatics Program (CHIP), and an active and practicing member of the Division of Pediatric Endocrinology at Boston Children's Hospital.
 
Nigrin received his undergraduate and medical degrees from Johns Hopkins University in 1987 and 1991, respectively, and then pursued his pediatric residency training at Johns Hopkins Hospital, which he completed in 1994. He then did simultaneous fellowships in Pediatric Endocrinology at Boston Children's Hospital and in medical informatics through the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology, receiving a Master's degree in medical informatics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1999. Nigrin joined the faculty of Harvard Medical School in 1995, and he is board-certified in pediatric endocrinology and clinical informatics.
 
Nigrin's research interests developed at CHIP include large-scale clinical data mining and electronic patient-physician communication systems. In 1998, he was awarded First Prize in the student paper competition at the American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA) Symposium, and in 2000, he was a finalist for Best Overall Paper at the AMIA Symposium. In 2005, Computerworld Magazine chose Nigrin as one of its 100 Premier IT Leaders. In 2010, HIMSS Analytics awarded Children’s Hospital Boston a Stage 7 designation on its EMR Adoption Score, one of only 55 Hospitals and 11 organizations worldwide to do so at that time. In 2013, he was recognized by Healthcare IT News as one of the year's nine H.I.T. Men & Women, in the Enhancing Patient Care Through IT category.
 
As chief information officer at Boston Children's Hospital, Nigrin is responsible for all clinical, research, teaching and administrative IT systems at one of the world's preeminent institutions for pediatric clinical care and research, serving over 10,000 individuals. As a practicing physician, medical informatics researcher, and information technology executive, he is in a unique position to put into practice cutting edge technologies and ideas developed by CHIP and other biomedical informatics centers of excellence, bringing advances to patient care practice, quality, and research, but all the while keeping in mind the needs and workflows of busy clinicians.

With over 15 years of experience in all facets of security and information technology for both the public and private sectors, Ryan brings an innovative perspective in protecting information and organizational resources.
 
Prior to joining Fortified, Ryan served as the Deputy Chief Information Officer for the New York State Division of Military and Naval Affairs and as a Director of a Security & Privacy healthcare IT consulting practice.
 
Ryan has worked in the information security office for organizations such as MetLife and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. In these positions he gained a wealth of experience conducting risk assessments and audits against HIPAA, ISO 27001, NIST 800-53 and PCI-DSS.
 
He currently holds an M.B.A. from Norwich University, the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification and is a HITRUST Common Security Framework (CSF) certified practitioner.
Ryan is also a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserves serving on the Computer Network Defense team within the Special Operations Command where he has oversight of Network Defense strategy/operations and the Cyber Protection Teams. He is a combat veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom where he received a Bronze Star Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal.

Mr. Heath Renfrow serves as the Cyber Security Program Manager, for Army Medicine. He is responsible for providing cyber-security oversight for over 60 worldwide medical treatment facilities, 700,000 medical devices, 122,000 facility control devices, and 120,000 personnel. Expert technical expert, and serves as the authority on Cyber Security for all of Army Medicine. He has 18 years of cyber security/information assurance professional experience. Michael Rothman, PhD

Michael Rothman co-founded PeraHealth in 2005 with his brother Steven, following the avoidable death of their mother, Florence.

His career began at IBM’s General Technology Division, after he earned his PhD in quantum chemistry. At IBM he worked in optimization, mathematical modeling and data analysis; work that led to a doubling of memory chip yields for mainframes. Michael also spent time at IBM’s T. J. Watson Research Labs, in the AI department, engaged in research in machine learning.

Michael is a natural interpreter of information. As a manager and executive consultant for the IBM Consulting group, his duties included translating mathematical results into effective business strategies for major banks and financial institutions. Later, as Senior Vice President for Strategic Information at First USA Bank, Michael established a database to better determine customer preferences.

In 2000, he founded Michael Rothman & Associates to focus on data analysis and product development through consulting, patent filing and joint ventures. Projects have included developing a system generating customized discharge forms for hospitals, helping determine cash flow and profitability for a pharmaceutical company’s newly introduced drugs, and pro bono work analyzing mortality data for a guide dog school.

Michael earned an ScB and ScM in Chemistry from Brown University, and went on to earn a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Michigan.

Suleima Salgado, MBA is the Director of Telehealth & Telemedicine for the Georgia Department of Public Health. Suleima has over 8 years’ experience in government, media, communications, telehealth and public relations experience. She has earned a Master of Business Administration from Southeastern University in Florida and has led several state and local public health initiatives.  
 
Suleima is responsible for setting the Department’s strategic goals to increase access to care for Georgians.  She manages day to day operations and works with statewide stakeholders to coordinate, promote, and execute telehealth projects across Georgia and has oversight of budgets and grants. 
 
Her experience in expanding Telemedicine includes public health program specialty clinics and county health departments. This statewide collaboration has led to tremendous rate of success. With strong community partnerships, this allows for a wide range of access to available specialist and healthcare providers.  
 
Prior to this role, Suleima served as the Deputy Director of Communications for the Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH). In this role, Ms. Salgado assisted the Director to oversee all aspects of internal and external communications for the Department and its programs and divisions. The division managed all marketing and communications plans media relations, and vendors while guiding communicators in Georgia’s 18 public health districts.

Leo Scanlon is the HHS Senior Advisor for Healthcare and Public Health (HPH) Sector Cybersecurity and the Deputy Chief Information Security Officer for the Department of Health and Human Services.  He serves as chairman of the HHS Cyber Security Working Group, which coordinates cybersecurity collaboration between HHS Operating Divisions and their partners in the private sector. He is the executive sponsor of the HHS Healthcare Cybersecurity Communications and Integration Center (HCCIC). The HCCIC supports cyber threat and indicator sharing across HHS Operating Divisions, DoD and civilian agency partners, and healthcare cybersecurity stakeholders in the intelligence and law enforcement communities, and the National Health Information Sharing and Analysis Center (NHISAC).
 
Leo has worked at the interagency level as a co-chair of the Identity Credential and Access Management sub-committee of the Information Security and Identify Management Committee (ISIMC), and as a tri-chair of the ISIMC.  He is co-chair of the Government Advisory Council of the International Information System Security Certification Consortium (ISC2), and government chair of the ACT-IACT Cybersecurity Community of Interest.
 
Prior to joining HHS, Leo served as the CISO for the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) from 2005 to 2015.  While at NARA, he put in place and matured the agency IT Security Program and the Insider Threat program. He came to federal service from the private sector where he developed cybersecurity programs as a federal contractor and in the telecommunications industry.

Katie Stebbins is the Massachusetts Assistant Secretary for Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship and leads the State’s efforts in the areas of cyber security, robotics, digital health, advanced manufacturing, IOT, marine technology, and the start-up ecosystem. In this role, Katie convenes sector leaders and prioritizes investments on behalf of the Baker Administration and diligently exposes community leaders across the state to the economic opportunities being generated in Massachusetts.
 
Katie has served the public sector for over twenty years, playing a leadership role in community based economic development, specifically in low-income communities. Through this work, Katie honed her expertise in workforce development, community engagement, environmental science and public health, and real estate development. Technology and innovation have been a consistent theme throughout Katie’s career as she made it a priority to deliver the most cutting edge science and technology to populations that are generally the last to receive such benefits. 
 
Katie is an avid entrepreneur and mentor having started three companies of her own and dozens of community based programs and projects. Her former consulting company played a lead role in establishing and growing the Holyoke Innovation District in Holyoke, MA, one of the first innovation districts in the State and the only one located within a high poverty community. 
 
Katie received her undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder and her Graduate Degree in City Planning from University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Boston Business Journal named Katie one of the top ten “2016 Women to Watch in Science and Technology”.

Prior to joining the eHealth Institute, Mr. Stuntz worked for private industry and has over 20 years of experience in healthcare information technology product development, systems integration and management consulting. He was the Senior Vice President responsible for product development for NaviNet and was a Partner at Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) with responsibility for CSC’s Collaborative Communities solution area. He has led, worked on and contributed to some of the most significant health information exchange efforts in the United States, including the New England Healthcare Exchange Network (NEHEN), MA-SHARE ePrescribing and Clinical Exchanges, the Metro Chicago HIE, and the CAQH Committee on Operating Rules for Information Exchange (CORE) project.

Micky Tripathi

Micky Tripathi is the founding President and CEO of the Massachusetts eHealth Collaborative. His activities range from policy guidance at the federal level, to collaborative strategic planning at the state and community levels, to implementation of health IT systems at the frontline of healthcare delivery.
Prior to leading MAeHC, Micky worked with U.S. and international clients as a Manager at the Boston Consulting Group, a leading strategy and management consulting firm. While at BCG, he served as the founding president and CEO of the Indiana Health Information Exchange, where he led the design and launch of one of the largest and most successful statewide laboratory results-delivery businesses in the country.  Micky serves on a number of boards and steering committees, including the Information Exchange Workgroup of the HIT Policy Committee, the eHealth Initiative, and the New England Health Exchange Network (NEHEN).
 
Micky holds a Doctorate of Philosophy in Political Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a Masters in Public Policy from Harvard University John F. Kennedy School of Government, and a Bachelors in Political Science from Vassar College.
 
David Ting

David Ting is the founder and Chief Technology Officer at Imprivata where he directs all System Architecture and Research and Discovery initiatives. He is a global expert in healthcare IT security, whose work in authentication and identity management have earned him a reputation for enabling "invisible" security. David has more than twenty years of experience building digital identity solutions for civilian and commercial environments. Prior to founding Imprivata, he developed fingerprint and facial biometric applications for government programs and web-based applications for secure document exchange. At Eastman Kodak, David managed an engineering group that developed the software platform used in most of Kodak's digital photography products including Photo CD print applications. David also managed Atex System's Imaging Department, where he was responsible for the first full color output system used in the newspaper industry. He has been involved in a number of start-up ventures and was a member of the scientific staff at the BNR/INRS Labs in Montreal, a collaborative research institution jointly operated by Bell-Northern Research, McGill University and University of Quebec.
 
In 2016, David was appointed by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to its Health Care Industry Cybersecurity Task Force, authorized under the Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act of 2015. David holds eighteen patents, with several patents pending. He frequently speaks and publishes on authentication and identity management, biometrics, secure clinical communications and other topics related to healthcare IT security.
Dan Tsai, Assistant Secretary of Health, Executive Office of Health and Human Services, Commonwealth of Massachusetts​
 
Daniel Tsai is the Assistant Secretary for MassHealth and Medicaid Director for the Commonwealth. Tsai was appointed in January 2015 by Governor Charlie Baker to oversee the state’s ~$15 billion Medicaid program, which covers one in four residents in the Commonwealth. In his role, Tsai is responsible for ensuring a robust and sustainable MassHealth program. That includes developing new policies, payment models, and operational processes that improve the way health care is delivered to 1.8 million low-and moderate-income individuals and individuals with disabilities.
 
Before joining HHS, Tsai was a Partner and leader in McKinsey & Company’s Healthcare Systems and Services practice. He has significant experience on design and implementation of innovative, state-wide health care payment systems for Medicaid, Medicare and Commercial populations, and has worked closely with multiple state Medicaid programs, private payers, and health services companies. He received a Bachelor of Arts in applied mathematics and economics from Harvard University.
 
Assistant Secretary Tsai and his wife live in Boston’s South End, where he volunteers at a local community health center.
