Dave Cox
Founder/Program Director of Reflections Recovery Center
 
Dave has spent most of his life in sales and marketing; however life circumstances and a passion for helping others led him to a life changing career choice.  Dave returned to school, volunteered much time at a treatment center and became a Substance Use Disorder Counselor. This is what Dave considers his calling in life. He has a special gift to communicate with others and a knack of reading people. This accompanied with his passion for helping others, especially those suffering for addiction, gives Dave the skill to make a difference in many lives.
 
In addition to being a Substance Use Disorder Counselor (SUDC), Dave holds a CCDC (Certified Chemical Dependence Counselor), NCAC I (National Certified Addiction Counselor) and a SAP (Substance Abuse Professional).
Mr. Cox stays involved in organizations such as NAADAC, The Association for Addiction Professionals and Utah County Recovery Coalition that support his field, recovery and society. He has taught or facilitated many of the continuing education classes required for recertification and state licensing. Dave is also a certified instructor for the state mandated DUI education and prevention program as well as a Certified Tobacco Cessation Facilitator.  
Amy de la Garza, M.D.

Amy de la Garza attended the University of Colorado Medical School and completed a Family Practice Residency at St. Marks Family Medicine in Salt Lake City. She obtained her waiver to prescribe buprenorphine in residency and has been treating patients with Substance Use Disorder throughout her training and her career in private practice. In 2017 she opened Equilibrium Clinic with psychologist Dr. Jonathan Bone. She and her partner saw a need in the community for patients to be able to access evidence based treatment in an outpatient setting where they can remain engaged in their families and communities. Equilibrium is an integrated program including Primary Care, Behavioral Health, and Group Therapy as well as medications to assist in recovery if indicated. She is passionate about the education of patients and the community about the appliction of medications in the recovery process. In addition to her Substance Use Disorder practice she is the owner of Heron Medical, a Family Practice and Functional Medicine practice in downtown Salt Lake City. She is a member of The American Society of Addiction Medicine and the Institute for Functional Medicine.
Vjollca Martinson, PhD
Clinical Director at Turning Point Centers
 

Vjollca Martinson is the Clinical Director for Turning Point Centers. She received her PhD and MS degrees from Brigham Young University in Marriage, Family and Human Development and Marriage and Family Therapy.  Vjollca has extensive experience working in the field of addiction and co-occurring disorders.  She is a proven clinical leader with success treating adolescents, adults, and geriatrics with substance use disorders and mental health diagnoses in both acute and sub-acute settings. Vjollca enjoys mentoring clinicians and helping them reach their full potential by sharing best practices on how to work with individuals who struggle with addiction, depression, anxiety, trauma, and other symptoms.  Her strong clinical philosophy integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Informed Care, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
