Ann Matino, LCSW
Executive Director, The Rose House
 
Ann grew up in an Army family, traveling the world -- including spending two years in India. She was enamored with different cultures and was interested in psychology from an early age. After her family settled in Virginia, she received her B.A. in Psychology from William and Mary and then her MSW from Adelphi University. New York, Chicago and Atlanta were home before moving to Lafayette, Colorado in 1999, where Ann and her husband raised their two daughters. 
 
Ann has spent her professional life working for organizations providing intensive treatment services to individuals experiencing mental health and substance use issues. She enjoys the business development and customer service aspects as well as the clinical and systems aspects of the field and is passionate about creating an egaging, professional and supportive environment for staff and clients. Since 1990 she has worked in psychiatric hospitals and substance abuse treatment centers in a variety of roles including Business Development Liaison, Director of Outpatient Services, Director of Intake, Service Excellence Trainer and Clinical Director.
 
Ann loves God, family, skiing, reading/writing, a good sense of humor and incredible friends!
Michael Dinneen, LCSW, CAC III, CSAT
 
Michael Dinneen has worked in the behavioral health field for over 20 years, primarily focused on addiction, trauma, and co-occuring disorders. Prior to co-founding Valiant Living, Mr. Dinneen served hundreds of patients at CeDAR UCHealth for over a decade and helped design and implement key parts of the clinical programming, including the 30-day Primary Program, the 60-day Extended Care Program, the 71-day Professionals Program, and the Intimacy Disorder Track.
 
Michael is an author, an international trainer, and mentor for substance abuse counselors, and regularly presents at industry conferences across the U.S. He earned a B.A. in Education at Boston College and a Masters of Social Work at the University of Denver. Michael is married and a father of two.
Alison L. Romero, LPC, LAC
Assistant Deputy Director, Mile High Behavioral Healthcare
 
Alison is originally from Syracuse, New York and after obtaining her Masters Degree in Human Services/Community Counseling she made a spontaneous decision to pack up and move to the beautiful state of Colorado. Her career began in the addictions field in 2008 at Arapahoe House's residential treatment facility for pregnant women, the Aspen Center. In 2010 Alison took a job with Mile High Behavioral Healthcare as a therapist for the women's intensive outpatient treatment program, Miracles. Alison specializes in women with co-occuring disorders, is very passionate about working with women and considers herself an advocate for women's recovery and specialized women's treatment. 
 
Alison continues to work for Mile High Behavioral Healthcare to this day as their Assistant Deputy Director of Behavioral Healthcare Services. She currently overseas all of the women's treatment programs including the agency's newest residential program, the Aspen Miracle Center, programming for gay men's services entitled Element, the Opportunities for Recovery Unit in Aurora and provides clinical support to many of the other up-and-coming treatment programs throughout Mile High Behavioral Healthcare.
