Andrea Boxill
Deputy Director, Governor's Cabinet Opiate Action Team

Boxill, who joined OhioMHAS in the summer of 2014, brings a wealth of experience to the Department in leading Ohio’s efforts to fight opiate addiction. She previously served more than a decade as administrator of Franklin County Municipal Court’s specialty docket programs and as the Franklin County Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services Board Mental Health Court coordinator. She holds a master’s degree in counseling and has significant experience in implementing mental health and addiction groups for both adults and adolescents, as well as extensive training in trauma-informed care and human trafficking.
James E. Sturmi, MD
Medical Director, Pinnacle Treatment Centers
 
Dr. Jim Sturmi has been practicing Addiction Medicine full time since 2015. He is the Medical Director for Pinnacle Treatment Centers - Recovery Works Columbus and contributes to Pinnacle’s Opioid Treatment Programs. He is a tireless advocate for Recovery, active in the American Society of Addiction Medicine and devoted to the prevention and treatment of alcohol & other drug addictions.

Dr. Sturmi is certified in Addiction Medicine by the American Board of Addiction Medicine and Family Medicine & Sports Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine. He holds a B.S. in Biology from The University of Mount Union and an M.D. from The University of Toledo College of Medicine. His did post-graduate training in Family Medicine at Aultman Hospital – Northeast Ohio Medical University in Canton, Ohio; then completed a Fellowship in Fitness and Sports Medicine at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. His academic experience includes clinical faculty for medical schools and Family Medicine residencies; Sports Medicine Fellowship Director for Grant Medical Center; and multiple publications and presentations. He has also served as Team Physician for the Columbus Blue Jackets, Ohio State Buckeyes, and Denison University.
