Ed Abramson, PhD
Ed Abramson, PhD is a licensed clinical psychologist, Professor Emeritus at California State University, and former Director of the Eating Disorders Center at Chico Community Hospital. He’s the author of six books including: Emotional Eating; It’s NOT Just Baby Fat; and the forthcoming What Every Health Professional Needs to Know About Diet, Weight and Body Image. Dr. Abramson has appeared on dozens of TV and radio programs including 20/20, Hard Copy, Joan Rivers and is routinely quoted in publications including The New York Times and O, The Oprah Magazine. Dr. Abramson is a Fellow of The Obesity Society and writes a blog for Psychology Today Magazine.
Robert Chapman, MSSW, LMSW, LADAC
Chapman is a MSSW, LMSW, LADAC, and Certified Relapse Prevention Specialist.  Chapman offers specialties with group and individual counseling, Relapse Prevention, Experiential techniques, and Adventure counseling.  He also clinically coordinates the family program at The Ranch.  He has 34 years of experience with the rehabilitation and recovery industry and has provided training and consulting services throughout the country.  Chapman received his Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Tennessee in 1983.  Chapman has provided extensive training services throughout the country for a number of years. He has been on the faculty of CENAPS Intensive School of Relapse Prevention Specialists and has published in Addictions and Recovery Magazine as well as other recovery related publications.
Doug Edwards

James Lock, MD, PhD
James Lock, MD, PhD, is Professor of Child Psychiatry and Pediatrics and Associate Chair in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University School of Medicine where he also serves as Director of the Eating Disorder Program for Children and Adolescents. Dr. Lock has published over 300 articles, abstracts, books and book chapters. He is the past recipient of a National Institute of Health (NIH) Career Development Award and a current recipient of a Mid-Career Award. He is active in research with 4 currently NIH-funded projects related to eating disorder treatment in children and adolescents and young adults as well as numerous national and international collaborations.  His recent research focuses on integrating treatment research with neuroscience in eating disorders, including examining neurocognitive processes and their functional and neuroanatomical correlates. He has lectured widely in the US, Canada, Europe, South America, Asia and Australia and New Zealand.  Dr. Lock’s current research focuses on interventions for Anorexia Nervosa and Bulimia Nervosa in younger patients and is funded by the National Institutes of Health in the US. He was awarded the Price Family Foundation Award for Research Excellence in 2010 and the Leadership award from the International Academy of Eating Disorders in 2014. He was the Ellen Andrews Wright Fellow at the Humanities Center at Stanford 2014-2015. 
Margo Maine, PhD, FAED, CEDS
Founder and Adviser of the National Eating Disorders Association and Founding Fellow of the Academy for Eating Disorders, Dr. Maine is author of: Pursuing Perfection: Eating Disorders, Body Myths, and Women at Midlife and Beyond; Treatment of Eating Disorders: Bridging the Research-Practice Gap; Effective Clinical Practice in the Treatment of Eating Disorders; The Body Myth; Father Hunger; and Body Wars, and senior editor of Eating Disorders: The Journal of Treatment and Prevention. Recipient of the 2015 NEDA Lifetime Achievement Award, she serves on many boards, lectures nationally and internationally on eating disorders and women’s health, and practices in CT.
Valerie Martin, LMSW
A native Texan, Martin received her Masters of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin. With a personal history of eating disorder recovery, she is passionate about helping clients reconnect to their potential for a rich and meaningful life in recovery from destructive addictions and attachments. Pamela Peeke, MD, MPH, FACP
Dr. Pamela Peeke is a renowned physician, scientist and expert in the fields of integrative and preventive medicine. Dr. Peeke is a Pew Foundation Scholar in Nutrition and Metabolism, Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Maryland, and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Sports Medicine. Amy Klimek Stansbury, MA, LCPC
Stansbury oversees the operation of the clinical group programming and eating disorder group program at Timberline Knolls. An important aspect of her role is coordinating interdepartmentally with other team members to support the holistic experience for each individual receiving treatment. Stansbury earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology from the University of Illinois, and was awarded a Master’s Degree in Counseling, specializing in both community and school counseling from Lewis University in Romeoville, Ill. Stansbury is a member of the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP) and is currently working toward her 200-hour yoga teacher training certification.
Elizabeth Szathmary, BA
In addition to specializing in Eating Disorders during her graduate work at Sofia University, Elizabeth Szathmary has achieved full recovery from Bulimia with Anorexic Tendencies, and has witnessed, first hand, the restoration of health, life, vitality and family through the process of recovery.  This fuels her professional passion for connecting sufferers with recovery as well as the work she does with high schools, colleges, at conferences and in universities where she speaks to audiences for the purpose of raising awareness, promoting prevention and bring the subject of Eating Disorders out of the shadows and into the forum of public conversation.
