Robert J. Ackerman, PhD
Robert J. Ackerman is professor emeritus from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and the previous director of the Mid-Atlantic Addiction Research and Training Institute. He is co-founder of the National Association for Children of Alcoholics. He is the previous editor of Counselor: The Magazine for Addiction and Behavioral Health Professionals and currently is the chair of the advisory board. He has published numerous articles and research findings and wrote the first book in the United States on children of alcoholics. He has become internationally known for his work with families and children.
Jeffrey Jensen Arnett, PhD
Jeffrey Jensen Arnett, PhD, who coined the term "emerging adulthood," is a leading authority on this newly defined developmental stage, from age 18 to 29. Arnett is a frequent speaker nationwide at organizations devoted to family relations and therapy, parenting, social work, and college counselling and admissions. He is also a research professor in the psychology department at Clark University and the author of Emerging Adulthood, the book that brought attention to this new stage of life. He is the author of the textbook Adolescence and Emerging Adulthood and since 2002 has been editor of the Journal of Adolescent Research. He recently founded the Society for the Study of Emerging Adulthood (ssea.org), which sponsors a biennial conference, and a journal, Emerging Adulthood.

Bob Bertolino, PhD, is professor of Rehabilitation Counseling at Maryville University and senior clinical advisor at Youth In Need, Inc. He is a licensed marital and family therapist and professional counselor, National Certified Counselor, Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, and clinical member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.
Gary D. Hees MA, LPC
Gary D. Hees MA, LPC, has worked in behavioral health for 22 years. He received his master’s degree from the University of Houston-Clear Lake in Psychology-Marriage and Family Therapy. His experience includes working with seriously mentally ill adults, adolescents in a private therapeutic boarding school and presently in the treatment of failure to launch and substance use disorders with young adults.  Serving as vice president of professional relations for Decision Point, he brings a foundational developmental and systemic perspective. He is trained in multiple therapeutic approaches as well as multiple family therapy modalities such as structural, strategic, narrative and brief solution-focused therapy.  
Scott Kenneke, MS, PLPC,BCN
Scott Kenneke received his undergraduate degree in psychology and religious studies from Webster University where he spent most of his time learning about the biological underpinnings of mental health along with eastern practices of meditation and philosophy. For 8 years he trained and studied the art and science of neurofeedback training and qEEG diagnostics. In addition, he holds a Master’s of Science in Mental health counseling from Walden University. In 2009 he became a Board Certified Neurotherapist from the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance (BCIA). In his role at Calo, Scott oversees all aspects of neurofeedback and quantitative electroencephalography (qEEG) modalities in treatment. In his spare time he enjoys mountain biking in the woods, and connecting with friends and family.
Dr. Michel Mennesson
 
Dr. Michel Mennesson is board-certified in General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, with an added qualification in Addiction Psychiatry. Originally from France, he trained as a pediatrician and internist before entering the field of Psychiatry.
Dr. Michel thrives on finding new and creative solutions by drawing from a variety of therapeutic approaches. A longtime practitioner of yoga and meditation, he is a strong proponent for integrating mindfulness principles into clinical treatment.
Jeanna Osborn, LCPT
Jeanna Osborn is a Certified Instructor with the Global Kennel Club (GKC), American Kennel Club – Canine Good Citizen, Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT), Certified Council of Pet Dog Trainers (CCPDT) and certified with Therapy Dog International (TDI).She also has years of experience handling and training dogs with the U.S. Military. She handled and trained with and for Shawnee Kansas Law Enforcement K-9 Unit. Her experience has offered her the opportunity to work with wolves and exotic cats, like cougars, panthers and bobcats. Jeanna's desire to work with youth and animals brought her to CALO where for the past 8 years she developed the world's first canine foster, adoption program that supports the experience of transferable attachment in young people. When not playing with dogs, Jeanna enjoys horseback riding, kayaking, wearing cowboy boots, and spending time with her many children and grandchildren.
Nina
Nina was born to Jake and Patches at Calo Lake Ozark campus on 12/12/12 with 12 puppies in her litter. The students were there to help bring her into the world and provide for her every need along the way, including her training. She is AKC-CGC and TDI certified. She has served hundreds of students in her career at Calo. She has presented around the country and loves every minute. Her favorite past time is being there for students who are struggling.
Marc J. Romano, PsyD, RN, PMHNP, BC, CAP, LHRM
Marc J. Romano is a licensed psychologist, a board certified advanced registered nurse practitioner specializing in mental health, and a certified addiction professional in Florida. He is also a licensed healthcare risk manager in Florida. Romano’s areas of expertise include psychiatry, medication management for psychiatric disorders, psychiatric nursing, chemical dependence, psychology, psychologist assessment, cognitive-behavioral therapy, psycho-dynamic therapy, and risk management. He has worked with clients of all ages from children to geriatrics and in outpatient, in-patient, and residential treatment settings. Romano is currently employed as the assistant medical director at Ocean Breeze Recovery in Pompano Beach, Florida.

David Verhaagen, PhD, ABPP
