Program Focus and Goals
The Institute for the Advancement of Behavioral Healthcare is the producer of the Summit for Clinical Excellence Conferences, a premier provider of continuing education for behavioral health, mental health and addiction, professionals. We bring together the best and brightest trainers from many disciplines offering a broader perspective to help our therapists and counselors better address the issues that their client is facing day to day.

Conference Objectives:
1. To identify current evidence-based, specific diagnostic and treatment approaches, counseling skills and modalities that will be successfully applied to the fields of mental health, behavioral health and addictive disorders; including but not limited to: Co-Occurring Disorders, Ethics, Addiction and Trauma.
2. To identify the symptoms and characteristics of the disorders mentioned in objective #1 and how they have interfered with the clients’ interpersonal and family relationships.
3. To participate in skill-building sessions and unique training that offer cognitive and experiential clinical techniques to assist in patient/client recovery from these listed disorders.

We provide CE Hours, not CE Units (CEU's). A CE Hours is based on 60 minutes of educational instruction, whereas a CE Unit (CEU) is based on a collection of CE Hours.

The Summit for Clinical Excellence will offer Continuing Education from the following organizations.

AMA, The American Medical Association, Category 2 CME Credit, Self Claiming
Category 2 activities are self-designated by those applying for the PRA. In order to determine the number of Category 2 credits to be declared, physicians should record the actual number of hours spent in the learning activity. Category 2 credits do not need to be documented or verified by an external party. It is recommended that physicians maintain on-going records of these activities in preparation for submission of information for the Physician's Recognition Award.
