It is imperative today for healthcare organizations to derive value from their data and make more meaningful decisions that will move the needle on costs, efficiency, and most importantly, patient outcomes. However, many hospitals and health systems are ill-equipped to do so and are not optimally using their investments in analytics and visualization, as the data they are supposed to use to make decisions is untrustworthy.

In this presentation, Dimensional Insight, the seven-time Best in KLAS winner in healthcare business intelligence and analytics, will talk about why a foundation built on data trust is critical for healthcare organizations that want to make more data-driven decisions.

Innovator Awards Spotlight

Kaiser Permanente Colorado (KPCO) developed its award-winning program to identify patients with significant incidental imaging findings and created an automated imaging finding tracking and management system to better serve the patients, radiologists and clinicians.
Attend this session to learn how KPCO used standardized radiology reports and automatic entry of significant radiology findings into a tracking and management to help identify more patients with significant imaging findings, reduce delays and missed diagnoses; and increase appropriate surveillance and management of these patients resulting in better care and outcomes.

Hyper-convergence is a oft-used buzzword now within health IT circles, especially as the advent of new technologies around flexible infrastructure continue to disrupt the marketplace. However, hyper-converged computing represents a unique area of opportunity for healthcare IT teams, especially in the face of demands from leadership for greater flexibility, and lower time-to-market for new built or merged facilities or locations. So what exactly is hyper-convergence and how does it fit into the IT roadmap?

Building on the success of the 2019 social determinants of health data panel, CHI has partnered with Healthcare Innovation again, to deliver an interactive panel and discussion for this year’s program. This session will focus on:

  • how community health data is being used to improve care
  • how healthcare providers, public health organizations, and community leaders are sharing data to improve care
  • a comparison of communities in Colorado with extensive SDOH sharing programs in place verses those that do not have programs (or are in the process of developing programs); and how that impacted their response to the Novel19 Coronavirus outbreak

Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning have been buzzwords in healthcare for several years, but how real are they? Are healthcare organizations adopting AI and machine learning? How are they using each technology and what outcomes are they seeing?

This panel will serve as an AI and machine learning primer with insights on needed capabilities, common challenges, and best-practice advice; and early findings about what outcomes healthcare organizations are achieving with the buzziest of “new” technologies available to them.
