Presentation submission deadline date: April 15, 2018
We are currently accepting proposals that provide immediate-to-advanced education and hyper timely information about the state of stimulant use in America’s communities, as well as how to effectively respond. Two deep-dive tracks are being offered:
- Private practice professionals and other clinicians will explore the shame, trauma, and other complicating factors that lead many people to use stimulants, as well as discuss best practices for addressing these issues and guiding patients on a pathway to recovery. Additional training will be provided for clinicians seeking continuing education credit on ethical clinical decision making.
- Law enforcement personnel and allied stakeholders will identify effective strategies for responding to stimulant use in their communities, as well as discuss how to train officers on how to respond when encountering people using stimulants alone or in combination with opioids.
