Corey Scurlock, MD, MBA, is the Medical Director of the Westchester Medical Center Health Network’s (WMCHealth) eHealth Center, a telemedicine program.
Dr. Scurlock joined WMC Health following five years at Advanced ICU Care’s Manhattan office, where he served as the National Medical Director, leading a team of 55 physicians and providers across three Tele-ICU monitoring centers in the United States and a monitoring center in India. This team delivered tele-critical care to over 70 hospitals across 23 states.

Prior to this, Dr. Scurlock was an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology & Cardiothoracic Surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center, serving as Director of Critical Care for the Department of Anesthesiology, as well as the Director of the Cardiothoracic Surgical ICU and Cardiac Progressive Care Units from 2005-2011. During his time there he was named Teacher of the Year as well as Researcher of the Year for the Department of Anesthesiology as well as being nominated for Clinical Excellence for the Mount Sinai Hospital System.

Dr. Scurlock completed his bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Texas A& M University graduating Magna Cum Laude and a Medical Degree from the University of Texas-Houston Medical School. Subsequently he completed an Anesthesiology residency at Baylor College of Medicine and was elected to Chief Resident during his senior year. He then completed a fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at Harvard, Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Scurlock is the author of over 40 peer-reviewed publications including articles in The New England Journal of Medicine as well as Circulation. He was recently named editor for Critical Care Clinics with a special edition on telemedicine in the ICU. Dr. Scurlock serves on state and national committees both in anesthesia and critical care.
