Description
Harm reduction has been widely used and researched in reference to people who misuse opioids, but less attention has been paid to how harm reduction strategies might improve the health and well being of people whose primary drug is a stimulant. Based on material from more than 25 experts who have research as well as on-ground-experiences, this session will offer a series of recommendations for policymakers and service providers on how to adapt proven harm reduction strategies for stimulant use. Presenters will also offer recommendations for future research. This session will engage participants in a dialogue about the proposed recommendations.

Objectives:
- Incorporate harm strategies for stimulant use into existing programs and services.
- Identify the latest evidence-based harm reduction strategies for stimulant users.
- Discuss recommendations for improving policies and service provision to help stimulant users.
- Formulate directions for future research into harm reduction for stimulants.
