Dr. Montgomery has been in the field of addiction since 1986 as an Addictionologist and since 1995 as a psychiatrist. He has worked with the LGBT community throughout his career, including 3 years as the Local Medical Director for PRIDE, Texas. His interest in the losses of recovery from addiction and mental health issues has grown through the course of his career. He has presented in various venues on addiction, problematic sexual behavior, ethics and grief and loss.
