Advances in addiction treatment and positive psychology have made great strides in the last ten years. Positive psychology offers a life affirming approach that focuses on strengths instead of weaknesses and works toward improving what is good instead of mitigating what is not good. This session will focus on positive psychology interventions that will enhance engagement, well-being, and positive treatment outcomes. Some of the positive psychology interventions that will be discussed include: creativity, forgiveness, gratitude, hope, mindfulness, and resilience.
