The session will describe results of a coping and resilience enhancement program implemented for individuals being treated for hypersexual disorders and comorbid forms of psychopathology in an inpatient recovery program. The presentation will describe the structure of the program, consisting of seven sessions that cover a range of skills needed to overcome adversity resulting from the sexually disordered behaviors and associated mental conditions. The themes are purported to improve the person’s mood regulation, decision-making process and use of sound judgment, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal effectiveness, and management of triggers.
