This session will discuss the connection between unresolved resentment and negative consequential affects, specifically physical and emotional issues that are highly correlated with relapse. The presenter will discuss what forgiveness is and is not, survivor vs. victim, benefits of forgiveness, and how recovery can be empowered. Additionally, reasons why one holds on to resentments and a formula for letting go and purposefully inviting forgiveness will be discussed. A formal presentation will be provided, a group discussion, group activity, and questions/answers will be encouraged. Attendees will leave the session with group activity ideas for practice.
