Description
This session will focus on how to use the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA) Protocol for Addiction and Behavioral Health Treatment as an introduction to the NADA Auricular Acupuncture model. This session will cover a five-point auricular (ear) acupuncture treatment. Attendees will learn the similarities and differences between Eastern and Western medicine and how Eastern medicine works holistically. This workshop will be lecture, interactive and experiential for a few select volunteers. The NADA protocol is used for the treatment of all addictions (including process addictions), behavioral health and pain management by facilitating balance and wholeness in the body, mind and spirit. This protocol is used worldwide and impacts the body, mind and spirit in a positive way.
Upon completion of this session, attendees will be able to:
- · Learn the difference between Eastern and Western medical models and how the Eastern Medical model works holistically.
- · Learn about the research and documentation of the effectiveness of the NADA protocol.
- · Learn about a treatment model that is community based using a non-verbal method.
