Description
A solid daily census and a positive bottom line are essential in keeping your program open, but beyond that, how do you show value to the host of people looking at your treatment systems? This presentation will provide a Top 10 list of what to look for when evaluating a treatment program. It will cover staffing patterns, engagement strategies, continuum options and the development, implementation and measurement of effective clinical care programming across various levels of substance abuse treatment. Focus areas will include how to identify and select from among a wide array of practices, including technology-based practices, with substantial scientific proof of effectiveness. Presenters will explore how to staff a treatment system to ensure the best outcomes and how to measure whether services are being delivered with fidelity by the right staff, to the right patients. From experience in implementing staffing and evidence-based practices in over 250 public and private treatment programs, presenters will discuss how all treatment systems can offer a cost-effective, evidence-based continuum of care.

Upon completion of this session, attendees will be able to:
  • Know the top components to look for when evaluating substance abuse treatment systems and identify key factors in a full continuum of care.
  • Recognize the best “evidence-based practices” from among the many available services and practices and demonstrate how all treatment systems can offer a cost-effective, evidence-based continuum of care.
  • Learn how to develop an easy mechanism for showing that you are delivering practices with fidelity.
