Description
Women face unique challenges in Stage 2 Recovery. The structure of early recovery often insures that safety, stability and self-regulation needs are satisfied, however, how does one create balance and wellness over time? As recovery moves past the initial phase, solid recovery requires exploration of deeper issues that drive addiction.  How and when does this deeper work begin, and what does it entail? This workshop will explore these ideas and answer questions for women who are seeking to understand themselves beyond the addiction.

Upon completion of this session, attendees will be able to:
  • Acknowledge the challenges for women in various stages of recovery. Recognize the components that are unique.
  • Identify the role of safety and stability in long term recovery and what self- regulation provides.
  • Discuss the benefits of ongoing growth and exploration to enhance self-recovery. Describe how this is done.
