Intensives and Consulting Mastering the tasks of early recovery require a great amount of time, energy and life changes. But many ask, “What’s next?” as they try to navigate the world after life settles in sobriety. Issues of identity, trauma, healing and fulfillment are often unexplored, leaving many to wonder, “Is this all there is?” This session will explore the foundation of continuing the healing journey and what lies ahead for long-term recovery.
Upon completion of this session, attendees will be able to:
Identify stages of recovery and the challenges presented in those stages.
Define the gaps in resources at different stages and describe the difference between building early recovery skills and addressing long term healing.
Define stage 2 recovery and beyond, as well as the changing needs of recovering individuals over time.
Describe long term recovery, and formulate a plan that addresses the objectives and challenges for life long recovery.
