Therapists of all types (psychologists, psychiatrists, counselors, interventionists, etc.) are tasked with changing lives every day. In that experience, they must continuously address issues of therapeutic boundaries, ongoing ethical concerns, and avoiding burnout, all the while keeping up-to-date on the latest guidelines, care strategies, and trends.

Join Addiction Professional as we examine how therapists can be more effective, energized, and engaged in their careers. Upon attending this presentation, attendees will be able to:

Dianna Sandoval, LPC, LAC
 
Clinical Director for Sandstone Care/ Owner and Clinical Director of Tandem Wellness Center, Dianna has been a Licensed Professional Counselor and State Certified Addictions Counselor for over 20 years. Providing faith based counseling and coaching to adults, couples, families, adolescents. She has worked in residential, correctional, military and outpatient programs providing mental health and substance abuse services.  She has a unique way of meeting each individual where they are spiritually and emotionally to provide a safe and effective place to heal and move forward in life. She has been the featured speaker at the Governor's forum on treating offender's with addiction and mental health issues, she has provided workshops and been the key speaker on Women's Issues for a variety of venues and was a guest speaker on KYGO radio.
Gary D. Hees
Vice President - Professional Relations, Decision Point Center 
 
Gary D. Hees MA, LPC was born, raised and educated in Houston, Texas.  After a successful twenty-two year career in information processing, Gary made the decision to change careers and enter the Behavioral Health field.  He received his Master’s degree from the University of Houston-Clear Lake in Psychology-Marriage and Family Therapy.  Gary has been licensed in Texas, and now in Arizona, for fourteen years.  During that time he has worked with adolescents in an Alternative Education Program, with adult Co-Occurring disordered clients in a Community Mental Health setting that included hospitals, a Partial Hospital Program and outpatient therapy, and in a private Therapeutic Boarding School for adolescent women. Gary brings a foundational developmental and systemic perspective focused by training in Ericksonian Hypnosis, Motivational Interviewing, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, Pia Mellody’s Post-Induction Model as well as multiple Family Therapy modalities such as Structural, Strategic, Narrative and Brief Solution-Focused therapy.  In addition, Gary has years of experience working with addictions of all kinds as well as depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder and bipolar disorder. He is currently the Clinical Director of Decision Point Center in Prescott, AZ. 
Stacy Delbaugh
Program Director, Valley Hope Association
 
As a native New Yorker who moved to Colorado is 1997, Stacy Delbaugh began her career in the addiction field in 2001 after losing her husband to the horrific disease of substance use disorder. At 41 years of age, she returned to school to further her education and obtained an undergraduate degree in human services. Stacy holds a CAC III certification and is currently working towards her masters degree in counseling.  Since starting with Valley Hope Association in 2008, Stacy has worked in counseling, utilization review, admissions, business management, and program management. In October of 2014, she began to hold to position of Assistant Program Director, and eventually was promoted to Program Director for Valley Hope of Parker in December of 2015. Since then, her respect and admiration for the philosophy, mission and vision of Valley Hope Association has allowed her to lead the Parker facility with strength and compassion. Her dedication to working with those struggling from a substance use disorder is admirable and brings her much joy in her life knowing she is helping these individuals on their journey to long term recovery. 
Meredith K. Wodrich, MS, LADC
Behavioral Health Supervisor, Women’s Residential Programs, CeDAR
 
Meredith k. Wodrich, MS, LADC has worked in the field of addiction and co-occurring disorders treatment for over 25 years. She has worked in a variety of clinical and administrative management positions in treatment settings such as University of Minnesota, Fairview Hospital and River Ridge Treatment Center in Minnesota.   While at River Ridge, Ms. Wodrich served as the Clinical Director and Director of Human Resources and participated in efforts to pilot and train staff in many of the recovery oriented, trauma informed, and gender responsive curricula written by Stephanie Covington.  She is currently the Clinical Team Lead for Women’s Residential Programs at CeDAR, the Center for Dependency, Addiction and Rehabilitation at the University of Colorado Hospital. Ms. Wodrich received her BA in Art Therapy at Mt Mary College, her certificate in Chemical Dependency Counseling at St. Mary’s Campus, the College of St. Catherine, and an MS in Experiential Education through Minnesota State University, Mankato. Her specialization has been developing activity-based therapy techniques applied in substance abuse and co-occurring disorders treatment settings. Ms. Wodrich has been sought after for consultation in numerous behavioral health care settings that are working towards integrating mental health and trauma informed care into their practice. She specializes in program development and staff training.
