How to Succeed in Today’s Behavioral Healthcare Business Climate
Meeting the needs of today’s mental health and addiction treatment professionals to operate strong practices and organizations.
After years of advocacy, behavioral healthcare is finally being recognized as part of the country’s healthcare system. New business opportunities are developing as society recognizes the need for effective treatment, and providers of all sizes are now part of larger discussions about the health of our communities. Yet business operators of all sizes—private practice through multi-location organizations—face significant headwinds: frequently changing payer requirements, uncertain healthcare legislation, and concerns about ethical marketing practices making local, regional, and national headlines, even as the need for effective treatments are greater than ever before in light of the country’s opioid crisis.
Join Behavioral Healthcare Executive to hear from experts on how to operate a successful mental healthcare and addiction treatment business despite these challenges. Organizations of all sizes and types will hear about financial, technological, and marketing strategies to not only survive but thrive as they aim to accomplish their missions and help their communities.
Upon attending this presentation participants will be able to:
  • Explore why the concept of “revenue cycle management” is evolving
  • Describe new models for considering a behavioral healthcare business’ revenue management plan
  • Discuss technological tools available to demonstrate success to patients and payers alike
  • Identify how to ensure marketing practices are ethical and in compliance with licensure requirements, and how to report violators
  • Understand the implications of new laws and regulations impacting behavioral healthcare delivery, such as NIMBY, patient financial responsibility, and patient brokering
One hour of continuing education credit will be available.
