David Finn, CISA, CISM, CRISC is the Health Information Technology Officer for Symantec. Prior to that role he was the Chief Information Officer and Vice President of Information Services for Texas Children’s Hospital, one of the largest pediatric integrated delivery systems in the United States. He also served as the Privacy and Security Officer for Texas Children’s. Prior to that Mr. Finn spent 7 years as a healthcare consultant with IMG/Healthlink and PwC, serving last as the EVP of Operations for Healthlink.
Mr. Finn has more than 30 years’ experience in the planning, management and control of information technology and business processes. He is focused on creating and maintaining trust in and value from information and information systems. Mr. Finn’s key skills include IT Governance and Control, Project Management, Systems Selection and Implementation, Business and IT Partnering, and IT Audit, Control and Security.
Mr. Finn has presented nationally and internationally on such topics as project management, professional leadership and staff development, and privacy and security. He has contributed to or written articles on IT Management, Disaster Recovery and Security for such as journals as CIO Digest and Baseline.
Finn holds a BA degree from the University of North Dakota and an MA from Angelo State University. He currently serves on the CHIME Board of Trustees and on the Information Systems Audit and Control Association’s (ISACA’s) Professional Influence and Advocacy Committee (PIAC). During 2014, Mr. Finn worked closely with CHIME management to create and initiate the Association for Executives in Healthcare Information Security (AEHIS). In the past, he served on the national Board of HIMSS. He also is a long-time Board member of Healthcare for the Homeless - - Houston (2 FQHCs) and is Vice President of the Primary Care Innovation Center in Houston.
Patty has participated in the planning and development of both statewide and local health information exchanges, serving as Chair of both the Georgia Health Information Technology and Transparency Advisory Board and the Chatham County Safety Net Planning Council’s IT Consortium. She has maintained memberships and industry involvement in national organizations, such as VHA, HIMSS, ACHE and CHIME. Patty holds an MBA from Florida State University, is a Fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives and is a CHIME Certified Healthcare Chief Information Officer.
Mac McMillan is co-founder and CEO of CynergisTek, Inc., a top-ranked information security and privacy consulting firm. He is a member of CHIME’s AEHIS Advisory Board, Chair of the HIMSS Privacy & Security Policy Task Force and recognized as a HIMSS Fellow. McMillan brings nearly 40 years of combined intelligence, security countermeasures and consulting experience from positions within the government and private sector and has worked in the healthcare industry since his retirement from the federal government in 2000.
McMillan is a thought leader in compliance, security and privacy issues in healthcare, contributing to several industry trade publications, blogs and newsletters. He was recognized in Becker’s Hospital Review lists of influential healthcare IT leaders by both its writers and readers in 2015, and was named one of the top ten health information security influencers of 2013. He currently sits on several other advisory boards, including HIT Exchange HealthTech Industry, HCPro Editorial Advisory Board and HealthCare’s Most Wired™ Survey Advisory Board. McMillan has contributed to more than 300 articles and postings in Healthcare IT magazines, blogs and other industry publications. He also presents regularly at industry association events, such as CHIME, HCCA, HIMSS and AHIMA, and was a contributing author to the HIMSS book, “Information Security in Healthcare: Managing Risk.”
McMillan served as Director of Security for two separate Defense Agencies, and sat on numerous interagency intelligence and security countermeasures committees while serving in the U.S. government. He holds a Master of Arts degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College and a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Texas A&M University. He is a graduate of the Senior Officials in National Security program at the JF Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and a 1993/4 Excellence in Government Fellow.
An accomplished IT leader, McCulloch comes to CHIME with more than 24 years of healthcare experience, and most recently as Deputy Chief Information Officer at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. Before joining Vanderbilt, he held CIO and senior IT titles in organizations ranging in size and complexity from a 200 bed hospital in Northern Illinois, to 800 bed organizations in Western Michigan and central North Carolina.
McCulloch has been an active member of CHIME since joining in 2005. Most notably he served as a member the CHIME Board of Trustees from 2013 to 2014 and was instrumental in guiding the CHIME Certified Healthcare CIO program as a member of the CHCIO Governing Board. He is a certified Healthcare CIO (CHCIO) and CHIME Fellow.
McCulloch’s education includes B.A., M.A. and M.B.A. degrees from the University of Delaware, Northern Illinois University and the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago.
