Dr. Matt Di Guglielmo is the Chief of the Division of General Pediatrics in Nemours Department of Pediatrics in the Delaware Valley. He is an MD/PhD graduate of the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University, where he now serves as Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatrics, and he trained in pediatrics in the Nemours/Jefferson/Christiana program. Since joining Nemours in 2011, Matt developed the GI access clinic, which became a model for other access clinics at Nemours and across the country. Matt’s work in GI includes research projects funded by the Delaware CTR, Delaware INBRE, and Nemours. He has built collaborations with researchers at Nemours Jacksonville, University of Delaware, The Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University, and Johns Hopkins. Since 2013, he has been a preceptor in the Rockland Road resident primary care continuity clinic where he was a resident during training. He is an esteemed and award-winning educator and has been a preceptor to residents, fellows and junior faculty in their research pursuits. He has been active in both obesity and health care delivery scholarship. In 2017, he became program director of the new Nemours Academic General Pediatrics fellowship in the Division of General Pediatrics. He has additional interests in physician wellness and mentoring. In March of 2019 he became the Chief of the Division of General Pediatrics in the Department of Pediatrics.
