Karen Thompson is Assistant Vice President in the Strategy & Innovation Group at HCA Healthcare. She joined the company in 2006. In her current role, Karen co-chairs an enterprise portfolio focused on delivering technology solutions that support HCA’s growth strategy. She has served as the corporate business lead responsible for incubating emerging strategies – such as outreach, telehealth, and digital services. Karen is actively involved in the community, serving on the boards of the HCA Corporate Foundation and Nashville Public Television. She is co-creator and co-chair of the bi-annual Hack for the Community volunteer event, which provides expertise from numerous corporate partners to design pro-bono technology solutions and education to local non-profits. Her commitment to the community was recently recognize by being selected as 1 of 9 leaders to represent Nashville for Harvard Business School’s 2018 Young American Leaders Program.
