Powell Hamilton has over 25 years’ experience in information technology and management. Today, Powell is employed at Scripps Healthcare Network as the Chief Information Security Officer. Scripps is a private, nonprofit, integrated health system in San Diego. Scripps network consist of five hospitals and 28 care center. U.S. News & World Report Ranks Scripps among nation’s best in eight different categories. Powell is responsible for all aspects of information security. Prior to working at Scripps, Powell served as the CISO at City of Hope National Medical Center in Duarte, CA. Prior to City of Hope, Powell served as the CISO at Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach, CA. Prior to Hoag, Powell was a security consultant with McAfee (Foundstone) and with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) for 10 years. Powell holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Southern California (USC) and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of La Verne.
