Ted is Chief Executive Officer and Managing Partner of Symbotix, a unique management consulting firm that has a proven track record of building, implementing, and advancing health innovations that rapidly fuel predictable profits, improved clinical outcomes, and digitally comprehensive value-based population care and wellness delivery. Ted and his executive team have reinvented enterprise capabilities and IT-enabled new business operating models for several large academic medical centers, numerous national payers, health system alliances, and other significant players in the healthcare value chain.

He is also the founding chairman of the Healthcare Industry Transformation Project (HITP). Founded in 2011, the HITP is a leading innovation ecosystem of early-adopting healthcare organizations collaborating to invoke true transformation of the healthcare industry.

Prior to Symbotix, Ted led IT-enabled business transformations at several Fortune 100 enterprises across multiple industries. Examples include: delivered global elements of a corporate turnaround at IBM Corporation, defined and advanced world-wide supply-chains and drove earnings growth for Starbucks Coffee Company, and as senior vice president / CIO restructured IT divisions into high performance engines while innovating enterprise business strategies for three multi-billion dollar health insurance companies.
He has served as sponsor and advising board member of the Center for Information Systems Research at MIT Sloan School of Management, has performed as guest lecturer at MIT and frequently speaks at industry events on the topic of Accelerating Healthcare Industry Transformation. He also served on Boards of Directors for companies transcending successful Initial Public Offerings and those pioneering the use of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) methodologies in healthcare.
